ANAHOLA IS GOING TO HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!! BUT WHEN????
This should come as no surprise, but it looks like there will not be
a November Poker Run. Even if permission were granted there is not
enough time to put it together. CORK is going to go ahead as if and
continue to try for land access, then set the date after. Hopefully
there will be one in December or January. Keep watching this site; we're
slow but when something is REALLY going to happen we will let you know.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday the 8th of October at the Computer
Hospital at 7:00 PM. We will discuss some of the items from the next
paragraph plus some new business. Please come. If you have some pull
in the Hawaiian Homelands communities we could use some help. Also there
will be some conversation about the proposed eighteen acres at Kalepa as
well as the possible sharing of the Wailua track.
There have been some changes since February. For one our insurance structure
has changed significantly; and it is no longer frugal to have a large membership.
We will not be doing a forced membership for future events. Membership will expire
on December 1, 2008 and at that time there will be open membership for 2009.
CORK's first 2009 event will still be giving discounts for 2008 members, however.
Many of the changes that are happening within CORK are due to lack of participation and help.
This Association was formed to obtain legal riding areas and have representation for Kauai. So
far a handful have done it all; the rest have grumbled. Up to you riders out there to keep things happening.
